Dr. William J. Binder is one of the nation’s leading facial plastic surgeons with offices and surgical facility in Beverly Hills, CA.  He is double-board certified by both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery.  He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and the American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery.  Dr. Binder is currently Associate Clinical Professor at the UCLA School of Medicine and Attending Surgeon at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.

Dr. Binder was one of the early investigators and helped develop dosage and injection guidelines for the treatment of facial lines with BOTOX^® .  He later conducted his landmark “twins” study showing the long-term effects of BOTOX injections for preventing facial wrinkles.  He is also credited with discovering the treatment of migraine headaches with BOTOX; for which he holds the worldwide patent.

Dr. Binder has pioneered many other new treatments and developed techniques and technologies which have been embraced by both the public and the medical community.  These include the concept of Structure Rhinoplasty, which is now the prevailing technique used in plastic surgery of the nose.  He also helped pioneer the concept of facial contouring with new tools and techniques including a new generation of facial implants created using 3-D computer imaging.

Dr. Binder was elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, for which he also serves as a National Board Examiner. He has also been appointed to the National Review Committee for the American Academy of Neurology Therapeutics and Technologies Subcommittee on the Assessment of Botulinum Toxin (BOTOX) Therapy and is an adjunct reviewer for the Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery Journal.

Dr. Binder received the President’s Leadership Award from the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery for distinguished achievement and significant contributions to the field of aesthetic surgery and the certificate of Honor Award from the American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Binder has published over 70 (mostly peer-reviewed) articles in national medical and surgical journals and has edited three textbooks in Facial Plastic Surgery and Head and Neck Surgery and Otolaryngology.
